On this second Dr. Strange movie we've been tasked to recreate the Titan environment from "Avengers : Infinity War" when they are fighting Thanos. This short sequence is happening is another version of the multiverse where Thanos has been killed on Titan.

In the original movie, this environment has been made by Weta FX. They had provided Luma with the entire set of data (model and textures) so we could recreate Titan. As a start, we had to ingest and lookdev all the assets with Arnold shaders using the provided material as well as images from Infinity War to match the look.

Once we had build our library we could then assemble and set dress inside Houdini to recreate that futuristic rusty junkyard. After that we exported everything to Katana using USD in order to render the final shots.
